This film forms part of a group of films donated to the Wellcome Trust in 2010 by The Association of Anaesthetists of Great Britain and Ireland, London.
In the late 1940s, Arthur Charles King, a pioneer and manufacturer of anaesthetic equipment, was sponsored by the British Oxygen Company on a lecture tour of Europe, Africa and Australasia. The film can was re-used and was clearly marked 'Gas-air anaesthesia' prior to re-canning, although the contents are Charles King's world tour.
