An Open University programme for Course T861. Environmental Ethics. Focusing on the 13th January 1997 Conference on Biotechnology, held at the Science Museum in London. The programme talks to scientists and political activists on both sides of the ethical divide on the issue of the genetic modification of plants, and visits the John Innes Centre - Norwich, where Dr Phil Date, explains some of the techniques used in genetic modification of plants, and explains some of the potential future benefits.
