Description

The first item on the programme is about memory loss and the brain chemistry involved with it. Professor Eric Kandel from Columbia University in New York identified a protein which plays a crucial role in the development of long-term memories. Can this protein help people with memory loss? Professor Tim Tully at Cold Spring Harbour Laboratory in the US is looking for a memory gene.
