    Dorset Daily Echo,” for continuing to publish, free of charge, all information about the Hospital, and to them and to the Proprietors of the “ Daily Telegraph,” for supplying their newspapers, gratis, for the use of the Patients. Alexandra Rose Day Collection, under the direction of Miss Marsden, produced the sum of 6s. Od. We are very grateful to all who helped in Dorchester and District. We thank Mrs. F. James and the members of the Dorset Working Women’s Club for their great kindness in again making-up linen articles for the Hospital. We desire also to thank Mrs. Nash-Wortham and the members of the Ladies’ Linen Guild for their valuable assistance. A report by Mrs. Nash-Wortham appears else¬ where. Entertainments and Dances have been organised in the Town and District to help the funds of the Hospital. To all who have so kindly helped to make them a success we extend our appreciation and hearty thanks. We thank all those who have so generously sent gifts of game, vegetables, fruit, flowers, books and magazines, and other presents. In conclusion the Committee desire to express their deep gratitude to all the supporters of the Dorset County Hospital and at the same time to plead for increased financial support. The following figures will show at a glance the enormous increase in the ordinary expenditure of the Hospital since pre-war days, that is the year 1913. This is mainly accounted for by the big increase, not only in the average number of patients per week, but also in the average weekly cost of maintenance. It is true the ordinary receipts have correspondingly grown, but the statement will show how imperative it is that our receipts should be increased to cope with the demands of the Hospital.
