Far left, the Earl of Zetland with his horse Voltigeur; second from right, the Earl of Eglinton with his horse Flying Dutchman. The great match was a race run by these two horses over two miles at York on 13 May 1851. Flying Dutchman was the winner by one length

Run at York, the 13th of May, 1851, distance 2 miles, for one thousand pounds. Won by Flying Dutchman by one length.
