Description

The School for the Indigent Blind was rebuilt in 1834 in the then fashionable neo-Gothic style. In the background is Bethlem Hospital. The group in front of the obelisk include a crossing sweeper. Leaning against the railings around the obelisk is a placard with a woman's face on it
