One letter addressed to Mr. Grisby, signed John Flamestead from the Royal Observatory March 8th 1715;
Certificate addressed to the Office of the Ordinance confirming the payment to Joseph Crosthwait (an assistant of Flamstead) the sum of £6. 18s;
One signed customs receipt for seized wines in bondage on the 20th September 1705;
One receipt addressed to the Office of Ordinace authorising the payment of James Hodgson (employed by Flamstead) £6. 6s. 6d, signed by both Hodgson and Flamstead c.1700.

Biographical note
John Flamsteed, (1646-1719) was born in Denby, Derbyshire, and renowned as the first British Astronomer Royal in 1675. He was involved with the founding of the Greenwich Royal Observatory.
