Description
The second in a three-part series in which Gunther von Hagens, founder of the Institute for Plastination, demonstrates how the body functions when in a state of crisis in a hospital emergency room. He demonstrates by dissecting real corpses in front of an audience of body donors and their families in Guben, Germany. Accident and Emergency consultant John Heyworth provides additional commentary.This part looks at the trauma to the body of blood loss and what emergency room staff can do to prevent death in the instance of massive blood loss leading to shock and coma.
