Description
An Essay on the Cure of Insanity, with Observations on the Prophylactic treatment of the predisposed to diseases connected with Aberration of Mind; rules for the detection of pretenders to Madness. Author's original holograph MS., with copious corrections and additions intended for a second edition. There are numerous inserted additions on slips. This work was published in London in 1814: but no record has been traced of a second edition. An inserted slip by a later hand reads: 'Manuscript of our Great Uncle George Nesse Hill Esqre of Alcaston Manor, and of Pepper Street, Chester....' Produced in Chester.
