"The cast of 'Grange Hill' - the award-winning No.1 children's TV programme - are reinforcing the message of 'Drugwatch' by releasing their version of the anti-drugs campaign song 'JUST SAY NO' on a BBC Records single. 'Just Say No' successfully spearheaded a public awareness campaign against drug abuse in the United States. The record and video get their first public airing on BBC-1 on Tuesday April 1 in 'It's Not Just Zammo'. This special programme underlines the Drugwatch message for young people and ties in with the launch of the National Directory of Services for drug users, their families, friends and the community at large. The Directory has been produced by BBC Drugwatch in collaboration with SCODA - the Standing Committee on Drug Abuse. This recording and release is by courtesy of the US National Institute of Drug Abuse."--From BBC Records and Tapes Information sheet, 25th March 1986.
The 7-inch single or 45 rpm record is presented as an artefact only, as the library is unable to facilitate access to specialist equipment for listening purposes.
