About this work
Description
Colour magazine insert advertising Lifebuoy soap as something which "destroys all microbes and disease germs, cleans, purifies and sweetens the house... cleans and disinfects at the same time". The front shows a white-bearded man in orange oilskins, left arm raised, looking at a box of Lifebuoy soap floating in a lifebelt on a green sea on a rising wave. There are 2 ships on the horizon from which brown smoke is issuing against a yellow sky on which the words: Lifebuoy Soap appear in red.
