After the overthrow of Bolívar in 1814 the Gazeta fell into the hands of José Domingo Díaz, who continued it to 1821. "Para contrarrestar sus ataques y Contestar sus calumnias " Bolívar founded in Angostura, in 1818, the "Correo del Orinoco." Cf. v. 1, Prólogo, p. [5]
Individual numbers from 1808 to 1814 have title: Gazeta de Caracas.
