About this work

Description

Patent for a process of preserving corpses of both humans and animals without loss of their original shape. It involves a mixture of bichloride of mercury, powdered selix [sic], subcarbonate of lime, hydrochlorate of ammonia, chloride of lead and chloride of zinc. A second bath of hydrochlarate of soda, phosphate of soda, pounded silex [sic] and salt of alum and cinabar. It is also applicable to flowers, leaves and grasses.
