Description

Advertisement for gelatine with instructions for making blancmange, syllabub, flummery, italian cream, velvet cream, lemon sponge and jelly. Includes a statement by Andrew Ure (6th June 1840) that it is equal if not superior to the best isinglass, having put it to a "careful chemical examination". It was manufactured at Emscote Mills, Warwick and 14 Bucklersbury, London "by the Queen's royal letters patent."
