Minor Ailments Health Visitors and District Nurses treated 123 minor ailments during 1958. These comprised 3 skin complaints, 1 eye condition, and 119 mis- cellaneous conditions. Attendances for treatment amounted to 228. Visual Defects The Ophthalmic Specialists examined 1,285 children during the year. Spectacles were prescribed for 768 children and another 246 received other forms of treatment. Health Visitors and District Nurses treated 1 child for minor eye conditions at the Clinic. Ear, Nose and Throat Of 62 children examined by the Specialist during 1958, 41 were advised to have operative treatment for tonsils and/or adenoids, and 10 were referred for other forms of treatment. The remaining 11 children required treatment for ear defects.
