About this work
Description
The first item on the programme is about the way in which women put on weight and how this affects their health. So-called 'pear-shaped' women are thought to be less likely to develop cardiovascular disease and type 2 diabetes than women who are 'apple-shaped' who seem to be less insulin sensitive.
