-7- National Assistance Act 1948 - Section 47 Persons in need of care and attention This section provides for the necessary care and attention of persons who %- (a) are suffering from grave chronic disease, or, being aged and infirm or physically incapacitated, are living in insanitary conditionss and (b) are unable to devote to themselves, and are not receiving from other persons, proper care and attention. It was not necessary to take steps for the compulsory removal of any persons during the year. Long-stay Immigrants 17 loyig-stay Immigrants arrived in the district during the year 1969 and were visited in accordance with the recommendations of the Ministry of Health.
