Description

Woodcut illustration, showing the acu-moxa locations of yinqiao mai (Yin Heel Vessel), from Jingmai tu kao (Illustrated Study of the Channels), published in 1878 (4th year of the Guangxu period of the Qing dynasty). Yinqiao mai is one of the Eight Extraordinary Channels (qi jing ba mai). The principal acupoints on this channel are zhaohai (Shining Sea) and jiaoxin (Exchange Belief).

Zhaohai, acupoint of foot shaoyin, mainly for diseases of the zang and fu viscera, stands in a host and guest (zhuke) relationship to lieque (Break in the Sequence).
