Description
"The faithful girl he us'd so ill, spite of his falsehood, loves him still", and intervenes by holding out a handful of money offering to pay the rake's debt. Up a ladder is a lampman who accidentally tips "oyl" onto the rake's fine coat. A Welshman may be identified by the leek, worn on St David's day, in his hat.
