An episode in François de Salignac de La Mothe Fénelon, Les aventures de Télémaque, fils d'Ulysse, book I. Much of the subsequent narrrative occurs through Telemachus's narration to Calypso. Within Calypso's cave, Mentor and Telemachus sit on the left, while Calypso and five handmaidens are on the right. Ogygia, Calypso's island, has been associated with Gozo
