About this work

Description

This film explains the difficulties faced by people with cerebral palsy going about their everyday lives, and how (at the time of making the film) there is little help for them. The work of the National Spastics Society is covered and an appeal for more help is made. Two schools for children with cerebral palsy are visited, St Margaret's School in Croydon and Puckle Hill House in Gravesend. BBC radio personality Wilfred Pickles introduces the film.
