About this work

Description

A dramatised film which illustrates what happens when a business cuts corners with safety. A firm of builders is in financial difficulty with the bank ready to foreclose on a loan; in order to finish a building contract they get a team of 'hustlers' to come and complete the work. They carry out a number of jobs on the building site which are near accident misses until their foreman has a fatal accident. The company subsequently goes into receivership. Another contractor is appointed; they all wear hard hats and go onto the site to appraise the work carried out to date. They identify poor scafolding; an untidy dangerous site and security. A model of how to apply health and safety across the organisation is outlined.
