Rachael House : Supporting documentation

This collection is uncatalogued. The following is an interim description which may change when detailed cataloguing takes place in the future.

Supporting documentation relating to Rachael House's sketchbook series and and her book 'Resistance sustenance protection : drawings 2020-2021'.

Comprises:

Physical materials : Preparatory and finished drawings for marginalia, end papers, ex libris (bookplates) and a timeline included in the 'Resistance Sustenance Protection' book; and drawings for the 'Drawn Out' online event, a recording of which is included in the digital files.

Digital materials:

• Email correspondence including emails regards events involving Rachael, audience feedback, and the development of Rachael's book,
• Screenshots of Rachael's Instagram posts and profile,
• Video recordings of online events involving Rachael, including her book launch and a live comics reading,
• Screenshots of threads on social media platform 'X' and PDF of an article regards the plagiarism of Rachael's handwashing comic,
• Digital photographs and screenshots of a poster of Rachael's artwork in different urban locations,
• Digital photographs, screenshots, transcripts, PowerPoint presentations and planning documents relating to talks and festivals involving Rachael.

Acquired alongside Six sketchbooks by Rachael House covering 5.10.19 - 23.09.21 and transferred to Wellcome Collection in November 2024.

Rachael House is a multi-disciplinary artist who lives and works in London and Whitstable.
