Episode in Boethius, Consolatio philosophiae, I.1. In the Consolatio philosophia, the letters on Philosophy's robe are theta Θ above (for Theoretice) and pi Π below (for Practice). However the manuscript painter has put Φ above and n below, followed in this lithograph
