I am really excited to introduce this issue, not least because we have some wonderful contributions, but also because I feel like sharing experiences and telling stories is important and powerful. It can be a route for learning, as well as catharsis. Attraction to the same gender can be painful for many reasons. Healing and positivity is so important. Diversity matters! Representation matters! Unity matters! I started SAPPHIC because I wanted to concentrate on the fact that WLW (women-loving women) share similar narratives, and there is strength in that.
