Electron micrograph of Rotavirus,the most common cause of severe diarrhoea throughout the world. Transmission electron micrograph of Rotavirus and Astra. Rotaviruses attack the lining of the intestine, and cause short-lived gastroenteritis and diarrhoea, especially in children. They are about 72 nm in diameter.
