This portrait of the late Edward Bennion, who devoted a long life to the exercise of benevolence in the skilful practice of surgery, is respectfully dedicated to his son Edward David Bennion by his obedient servant, the publisher. Drawn on stone by J.W. Giles, from the picture painted by him in 1840.
