Description
On the the day that animal rights activists have designated 'World Day for Laboratory Animals'. The programme looks at two controversial areas, the use of animals in medical research and in the cosmetic industry. Judy McArthur Clark(?), Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, and a member of The Research Defence Society, and Mark Gold, Director of Animal Aid, debate the use of animals in medical research. The programme then investigates the issues which surround the use of animals in the testing of cosmetics. Includes interviews with representaives of some of the companies who are against animal testing, as well as the views of consummers.
