Johann Caspar Lavater (1741-1801): Andenken an liebe Reisende, 1787

Contemporary copy, signed and dated by the Author. Lavater has not only signed and dated this copy at the end of the text 'Donnerstag d. 14 Aug. 1788. Joh. Caspar Lavater', but has also added two words 'Lieber Stolz' to the first line of the text. On the second leaf there is a note in which the author requests that no excerpts should be made from these 'Andenken', without his knowledge and consent. Produced in Zürich.
