Spleen cells from neonatal BDF mice were stimulated with the panel of antigens listed in Table 1 and their direct PFC responses measured after 2-4 days of culture. The first re¬ sponses to TNP-^. abortus and TNP-LPS were detected within one day of birth and adult levels of responsiveness were attained by 7-10 days of age (13).
