    in summer it is best to begin at 97 de- grees Fahrenheit for the first three baths, the next three at 95, the next set 94, so on, cautiously reducing the temperature a degree till the last six baths are taken at 88 to 85 degrees; but the duration at 85 should not exceed ten minutes. The lower temperature necessitates more care to avoid chill or exhaustion after the bath. In winter, spring, and late autumn the temperature should not be lower than 95 degrees. The baths should be taken in courses of three ; a bath each day for three days, then omitted for one day, so on for eighteen or twenty-one baths. The best time for the bath is five o'clock
