Eccelentissimus medicus patavinus. One of a pair of drawings, of which the other (this catalogue, no. 21544i) is inscribed by an officer of the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum "Copy made for us by the Librarian of the University of Padua, April 1915."

Related to: a watercolour in the Album amicorum of Sir Michael Balfour, National Gallery of Scotland, Edinburgh, MS 16000 (as noted by Dr Harold Swan in a letter to the Wellcome Library, 1 May 2001). Possibly both the Balfour watercolour and the Wellcome tracing were copied from the same source in Padua
