Description
The mind can persuade us not to feel pain. Emotions, fear and loneliness can increase pain. Control of emotions - understanding the psychology of pain - helps us to manage, and often alleviate it. This programme includes the following sequences: the stress and depression associated with pain, Walton Pain Management Centre in Liverpool, firewalking, childbirth, surgery, knowledge reducing pain, stress and pain, the preoccupation with pain, results of therapy, art therapy, relaxation classes and coming to terms with the physical limitations.
