About this work

Description

A series of simple hand drawn illustrations of the heart are used to explain the pathology of this condition. A clinical case presented by a six year old girl is shown. There are accompanying x-rays. She has an operation to treat this condition. The film goes on to show the surgical dissection of the right subclavian artery and the right pulmonary artery and their anastomosis in detail. The child is seen awaking from her anaesthetic; one year later she is considerably better with just a small heart murmur in evidence.
