Description
Both men in the painting are bald; the one on the right is pointing in fun to the other's bald head whilst he is having his finger nails cut by the man on the left

Creator/production credits
Formerly attributed to Jusepe de Ribera. It has been proposed (by Dawson Carr, National Gallery, London, 2007) as a Neapolitan work from ca.1680 or a copy of such a work. At Christ Church, Oxford, there is a painting of two men with goitres which has a similar arrangement of the two heads
