First issue of English ed., with erroneous date; there was also a French ed., 'Bibliotheca Parisina', 1790.
Copy 1 Note: First leaf (half-title?) wanting. The owner of the collection is named in the preface as 'M. Paris' and is usually identified as J.B. Pâris de Meyzieu but A. Rau, Book Collector, vol. xviii, p. 307-17, 1969, has established that the collection derives from various sources (including Cardinal Loménie de Brienne) and that few of the books are likely to have belonged to Pâris de Meyzieu or other members of his family.
