About this work

Description

After introducing the subject, the author conducts a series of interviews of cases to illustrate his lecture on depression and its differential diagnosis. Because the film aims to be a phenomenological study of people suffering with depression, methods of diagnosis are not the main focus here. The close-up facial studies of people telling their stories are both fascinating and moving, while psychiatrist Lehmann approaches the depressive subjects sympathetically and openly.
