Avena Sativa (Oat)

Close up of stem bearing ears of oat grain. Widely cultivated for its edible seeds and has also been used to fill mattresses with benefit to rheumatic conditions. Oat grains in bath water has an emollient action. A cereal used in the manufacture of some whiskies.
