Letters to W.H. ["Harry"] Banister (fl. 1854-1855) of Drummond St., London, relating to supplies of surgical lint for the war in the Crimea. Tomlinson and Phibbs, Rowbotham & Co. (both of Manchester). In addition to Savory & Moore and lint manufacturers, correspondents include Banister's brother Charles, whose letters (nos. 4 and 7) include family news. no. 8 comprises an empty envelope, possibly associated with the undated partial letter held as no. 17. nos. 2, 6 and 10 include samples of lint.
