About this work
Description
Wellcome have made insulin since it was first produced in Britain in 1922. This film traces the progress that has been made in the Company's production of insulins, from first-hand recollection of the earliest beginnings at Dartford, to the sophisticated process of large-sale manufacture and more recent technological advances which have allowed the development of purified preparations now increasingly favoured for certain groups of insulin-requiring diabetics.
