About this work

Description

The often harrowing story of the women of France who were accused of sleeping with Germans during the occupation of WW2. After the war many of them were humiliated and punished, by their fellow Frenchmen, often on the flimsiest of evidence. Some of the women, and their families tell their own stories, and we also hear from some of those who witnessed the atrocities.
