Description
The stink bug has two compound eyes (for accurate perception of movement) as well as two smaller simple eyes located just above. Two antennae extending out from the top of the head are also visible. When disturbed, the stink bug can emit a strong odour. Originally from East Asia, this species is an agricultural pest particularly in the USA where it is responsible for many crop failures of fruit trees, vegetables, ornamentals and other field crops such as corn and soybeans.
