Description

This is a longer version of this video of the same name. The video begins with a disclaimer which refers to the views in the video not necessarily being that of Wellcome Foundation and that some of the 'indications' (drug uses) are not licensed. This is a video shot at a meeting held in Berlin exploring the benefits of anti-viral therapy. Different spokespeople comment on the groundbreaking nature of Acyclovir in terms of safety. Gertrude Elion is interviewed; she developed the drug and received a Nobel prize for her research. This video has longer sections with the presentations by individual clinicians.
