Description
Wooden statues of St Even, St Herve, also known as Harvey and Herveus, 6th century Breton saint, one of the six healing saints from Notre Dame du Haut, Moncontour, Brittany, and St Susanna, a 3rd century Roman saint invoked in country districts for rain and against calamities of every kind. The statues of St Even and St Herve were purchased in 1934 and accessioned in 1938 (accession number R578/1938 and R574/1938). The statue of St Susanna was purchased by the Museum in 1928 and accessioned in 1938 (accession number R437/1938). None of the statues are held by Wellcome Collection.
