Description

Parga is a town and municipality located in Epirus, north-western Greece. The castle of Parga is seen on the top of a hill overlooking the town. It was built in the 11th century by the residents of Parga to protect their town from pirates and the Turks. After Parga was sold to the Ottomans in 1817, Ali Pasha enhanced its defenses and amenities
