Notes
Caption title
Advertisements on p. 3 & 4 indicate place and the date. Hauksbee is named as the nephew of "the late Mr. Hauksbee, deceas'd" (Francis Hauksbee d. 1713?)
Published (1713?) with title: A course of mechanical, magnetical, optical, hydrostatical, and pneumatical experiments
The 20 leaves of letterpress contain explanatory text of the plates
Divided into Mechanics (6 plates), Opticks (5 plates), Hydrostaticks (3 plates), and Pneumaticks (6 plates). Sections numbered consecutively, plates by section
Head- and tail-pieces.
Copy 1 Note: Apparently earlier (c. 1714) than preceding item (in which errata have been corrected and some additional matter inserted); 2nd prelim. leaf, 'Opticks', and Pls. IV-VI (and text) of 'Pneumaticks' wanting. 'Hydrostaticks' contains ff. 21-2 (altered in ink to 12-13) and p. 23-4; this suggests that it was orginally to have been placed at the end.
