Description
First day cover envelope with 10 postage stamps issued by the Royal Mail Group Ltd. on Thursday, 25 February 2010. It has all 10 stamps stuck to it and they have been cancelled by the official first day of issue cancellation stamp and includes a 'stiffener' card with the signatures of those on the stamps. The stamps show Robert Boyle (chemistry), Edward Jenner (smallpox vaccination), Ernest Rutherford (atomic structure), Isaac Newton (optics), Charles Babbage (computers), Dorothy Hodgkin (crystallography), Benjamin Franklin (electricity), Alfred Russel Wallace (evolution), Joseph Lister (antiseptic surgery), Nicholas Shackleton (earth science).
