Description
Upper left is a view of the French Governor's residence; upper centre, a group of native people ("sauvages") visiting the French settlers; upper right, a landscape purporting to show the "Kingdom of the Apalaches" including a temple of sun worship ; below left, fish; below centre, turtles and birds; below right, insects and shellfish. In the centre are descriptions, in French, of St. Kitts, and of the "Province of Bemarin"
