Notes of lectures on Surgery, containing Books 4 to 7 only. In Italian, by an anonymous student. Lib. IV. Delle ulcere (pp. 1-143). V. Delle malattie veneree (pp. 144-330). VI. Delle malattie delle osse (pp. 331-482). VII. Delle operazione di chirurgia (pp. 483-579). The dating c. 1770 is suggested by the mention on p. 568 of the work of [Raymond de] Vermale, surgeon to the Elector Palatine, whose book 'Observations de chirurgie' was first published 'circa 1763' according to Haller's 'Bibliotheca chirurgica', Vol. II, p. 358: a second edition, Mannheim 1767, is also recorded. Produced in Florence.

Biographical note
From the internal evidence these lectures were given by Angelo Nannoni who was at the time chief surgeon at the Arcispedale di Sta. Maria Nuova in Florence. He had himself been trained there, and after qualifying, visited the hosptitals at Paris and Rouen in 1747. He was appointed chief surgeon in 1756.
