Description

Collection of medical receipts and 'secrets' in Latin.

Bound in the middle is a printed copy of Ludovico Castellini's translation into Italian of Marie Fouquet's Secreti overo rimedii di Madama Fochetti, Venice: S. Curti. 1689. The 'Secreti' of Marie Fouquet [1590-1681], 312 pp. + 12 ll., follow after the 13 bl. ll.

The receipts are written by the same hand throughout and are arranged systematically.

Lettered on the spine: 'Fochetti. Medicina pauperum'.
